Last year I bought myself a mountain bike. I rode it a few times at lunch time but to be honest fairly infrequently.
Over the last month or so I have actually decided to get serious and try to improve my fitness. To this end I bought some road tires for my bike. Made a huge difference in rideability. So for the last few weeks I've been trying to ride at least twice a week. I ride the same route of 12 kms. (For Canberra folk, I ride from work out to the Boathouse restaurant and back) Today I set my fastest time of 33.35 minutes. My goal is to get that down to 30 minutes.
All this just so I can run around a square ring with a dog. :)

I've been eying a bike lately. It's hanging in the tool shed. Probably needs new tires & some work. Not a mountain type at all, it's a road bike. Bought it in '73. It's my vintage Brit sports machine. Raleigh International.
