Enthused

[livejournal.com profile] saluqi and I went out to dinner to celebrate a friends b'day and to catch up, as they are now living in Tassie. I had actually been quite unenthusiastic about going as it was on Wednesday night and I was feeling kinda grumpy. Now, however, I am really glad that I went. I got nagged and harassed by a long time friend about my ongoing lack of exercise. This nagging was with [livejournal.com profile] saluqi full approval and active encouragement!

Anyway after this , my first formal obedience training class in a couple of months and another long chat with my friend I am now feeling much more enthused about life and exercising and trying to exorcise the demons that have been tormenting me for the last few months.

It is my goal to walk Faxon every night - probably after dark when it is cooler for both of us. I also got some really good training hints from one of the experienced triallers last night about handling Faxon. Basically I need to improve my confidence with him and speed up my heeling.

It's always good to get out and move. I need to do more of that myself.

It's something that sounds so easy yet it sometimes seems so difficult to do.

I went out for a walk last night and it was great - there was a cool wind and all the stars were out it was amazing. I need to remember that sometimes it's the simple pleasures that are the nicest.
